Free weight checks - January 2025

In conjunction with 'walk your dog month' we are having free weight checks for your pet during January. We all overindulge over the festive period, and we all know the impact of obesity on ourselves, and this includes our pets too. This month, we are going to highlight the importance of regular exercise and outdoor activity.

 

Our nursing team will assess the current weight and body condition score of your pet. 

 

We can work together to set your new years resolution to embrace the outdoors and keep your pets healthy too.

If you want peace of mind, getting your cat microchipped is essential

Cats are keen wanderers and making sure they can be easily identified will increase the chances of a happy return back home if they do wander too far, but from 10th June 2024, it will be a legal requirement in England to have your cat microchipped and registered on a database by the time they’re 20 weeks old.

 

You can be fined up to £500 if your cat is not microchipped when they need to be.

 

If you are unsure if your cat is microchipped/registered, we can check this for you or call us today to book your cat in to be microchipped, currently on special offer!

Our Southport branch at Wennington Road will be open on Saturdays 9am-1pm and closed on Sundays

Our Rufford Branch at Holly Lane will be closed on Saturdays and open on Sundays 9am-1pm

We will continue to provide an out of hours service from 1pm throughout the weekends
