Out Of Hours - Patient Care

Here at Rufford Veterinary Group we have a dedicated team of vets and nurses assigned to caring for your pets/our inpatients.

Our inpatient team are on site from 6am-11pm. If you have an emergency and your pet needs seing by a vet our 24hour emergency team (staffed by our own vets and nurses) can be contacted through our emergency telephone service, dial 01704 821 204 or 01704 214460 and listen to the recorded message. They do not reside at the practice.

If your pet is hospitalised with us overnight, the vet leading the care plan will liaise with colleagues and specify the frequency of visits required. This will be assessed on an individual basis, based on the condition of the patient and the need for fluid therapy/pain relief/medication etc. Everything will be taken into consideration and appropriate visits made to deliver the best care for your pet.

With any significant change to your pets condition a member of our out of hours team will contact you on the number you left at admittance.

For general inpatient care updates, if a member of our inpatient team has not contacted you already please phone after 10am.

  • Loyalty Offer

    08 August 2015

Our Royal Canin loyalty scheme is designed to help our patients in need of a veterinary specific diet.

Buy 8 bags of Royal Canin food and get the 9th bag free, when you opt for our Royal Canin reward card.

The same size bag must be purchased each time.

What happens if i change the type of food half way through the offer?

If your Veterinary surgeon has recommended that your pet should try a different Royal Canin food, this can still be part of the offer as long as it is the same sized bag.

What would happen if my pets shared the same bag of food?

This is fine, however the loyalty card would need to be registered under just one pet.

A different loyalty card would be needed if different sized bags of the same food were required.

Your purchases can be made in separate transactions.

If you have any queries regarding this offer please contact our reception team.

  • What are the chances?

    07 July 2015

Whilst their owners were chatting in our reception area, these two lovely boxer dogs found out that they're actually brother and sister from the same litter! How lovely!
