Nurse Clinics

The aim of our nurse clinics is to help and educate clients. From nail clips and microchipping to advice on weight or neutering, we are here to help you through the amazing journey of owning a pet. Please note there is no charge for seeing a veterinary nurse, all of our clinics are free.

Bunny Clinics

Your rabbit will receive a general health check, including eyes, ears teeth, skin and nails.

The nurse will also discuss preventative health care advice to help keep your bunny healthy and happy.

Dental Clinics

Dogs and cats have teeth just like us and plaque and bacteria can accumulate on their teeth causing inflammation and infection in the gums and tooth roots. It is important to have your pets teeth checked regularly to prevent pain and tooth loss. In our Dental clinics we can check your pets teeth and educate owners as to how to do it themselves.

Diabetic Clinics

If your pet has been recently diagnosed with diabetes or you just need help with monitoring this condition, our nurses will guide you through everything you need to know. At first diabetes can seem overwhelming, we can help you put it into perspective and create a manageable plan so that you and your pet can carry on enjoying life.

Firework Clinics

Our nurses will give you advice about how to help your pet feel calm and safe during the fireworks. This will include short term coping techniques and medication options.

If left untreated, fear of fireworks does not go away and often gets worse over time. The nurse will also be able to discuss long term therapies to help prevent firework phobia recurring in the future.

Remember, fireworks are no longer confined to the 5th of November and often continue throughout Christmas and the New Year so make sure you are prepared!

Junior clinics

When your pet reaches a specific age their growth rate will be slowing down so dietary requirements may be different.

The surge in hormones may cause behavioural changes as your pet begins to act like a teenager. We will advise you as necessary and help you through your pets teenage years.

Kitten Clinics

There is a lot to think about when you get a new kitten. Our nurses will tell you all you need know and are here to advise you every step of the way. We discuss worming, microchipping, vaccinating, pet insurance and more.  In a lot of cases we see our clients back every month so we can keep track of your kitten’s growth and development.

Puppy Clinics

Our puppy clinics are to help you give your puppy have the best possible start in life. We discuss diet, behaviour, preventative health care and we are here to answer any questions you may have. We encourage clients to come monthly for worm and flea treatments as it gets puppies used to coming to the vets. We find as they grow up it will be a lot less scary for them.

Mobility Clinics

The mobility of your pet can be affected by many factors such as age, trauma and pathology. If you feel your pet is becoming stiff or lame or just behaving slightly differently we can advise you on the best course of action, however as nurses we can not diagnose. We may advise that you see a vet if we feel your pet is in pain or needs medication.

Senior Clinics

By monitoring our older pet’s health regularly we can pick up on early changes and help them live a longer and healthier life.

The check up includes a questionnaire about your pets current health and behaviour and preventative healthcare advice for older animals.

We are now offering a FREE urine sample. This can tell us many things and can pick up early signs of disease. We also check your pet's blood pressure. Click here for advice about how to collect urine.

Weight clinics

Should your pet be over weight it is important that we help you get this under control as there are many health risks associated with obesity. We will identify your pet’s ideal weight and work out a diet plan, through out the process we are here for support and to weigh your pet at regular intervals.

Physiotherapy Clinics

Physiotherapy is an up and coming service which we are now pleased to offer in practice.

We are able to tailor a programme specifically for your pet's physical needs. As a matter of routine, you will be fully instructed and encouraged to be proactive in the rehabilitation of your pet in your home.

* All of our nurse clinics are free however medication is chargeable at time of treatment; this includes such things as anal gland express, nail clips, flea, worm treatments etc. If your pet is ill you will be advised to book in with a vet for an examination.
