For more information on how to help your pet with anxiety, or any aspect of their welfare, have a chat with us or inquire about booking in a session with Dawn Peacock FdSc RVN NCert AnBeh.,
Dawn has over 15 years experience as a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), giving her an advantage when it comes to canine and feline behaviour. Seeing dogs presenting for a variety of behavioural and clinical conditions, working with street dogs in South Africa and working with her own rescue dogs, has given her an understanding into the fundamentals needed when it comes to addressing behavioural issues. Dawn has trained with the ISVPS to gain her additional qualifications. Unfortunately, the term "behaviourist" is not a protected title, so anyone can call themselves a behaviourist without any prior training. We would always encourage anyone to research into what experience and knowledge that person has gained before they work with your dog.
If you wish to book a behaviour appointment with Dawn, please ask for a behaviour history form at reception or download one from our website. Once the form has been completed, Dawn will give you a ring to book a face to face appointment. Please note there is a charge for a behavioural consultation.
If you are wanting to independently find a behaviourist, we recommend looking on the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors or the Animal Behaviour and Training Council websites for further information.
