Hi I'm Gill, I have 20+yrs of nursing experience and was Head Vet Nurse at the holly lane surgery for 15yrs, leading great teams of nurses past and present.
I then jumped across to the Southport branch in January 2016 to help supervise the practice and head the nursing team. I have been very fortunate enough to travel to many different countries and also work as a volunteer vet nurse for Animals Asia Foundation in Chengdu with rescued Moonbears (Asiatic Black Bears) which I could talk about forever if anyone would let me ! I have had a lifetime of owning a menagerie of animals ranging from hamsters to horses but I currently just have 2 little monsters :) and a crossbreed (collie/lab) called Ruby.

Now it's the 2 little monsters (my sons) that occupy my time outside of working hours. I consider myself to be very lucky to still feel as enthusiastic about vet nursing as I did when started as a student all those years ago! Everyday brings new challenges and rewards, from aiding in the care and recovery of our patients and seeing the happy faces of families reunited when animals are healthy enough to be discharged from our care. I couldn't see myself doing any other job.
